Modify printer network settings

Switch printer connection types between USB and network.

Configure your printer connection from USB to network or vice versa.

This ensures your POS system communicates correctly with the printer based on your setup.


USB to network printer setup

To switch a USB-connected printer to a network or COM port connection:

  1. Log onto the terminal.

  2. Click Program Mode and select Program Options/Programming.

  3. Go to Printer Network.

  4. Select the printer you want to update and confirm the correct printer model is selected.

  5. Change the Comms Type from USB to the appropriate connection:

    • For COM port, enter the correct COM port details.

    • For Network, enter the printer’s IP address.

  6. Click Test Print to verify the printer is functioning.

  7. Click Save.


Network to USB printer setup

To switch a network-connected printer to USB:

  1. Click Program Mode and select Program Options/Programming.

  2. Go to Printer Network.

  3. Select the printer and confirm the correct printer model.

  4. Change the Comms Type to USB.

  5. Click Test Print to confirm the printer is working.

  6. Click Save.


Additional USB Configuration

  1. Go back to Program Mode > Program Options/Programming.

  2. Click USB Port Mappings.

  3. Select USB1, and from the drop-down menu, choose the option labeled Connected.

📌 Note: Please ensure to send the change to EPOS Manager once done.
