PLU Prompt Group in EPOS Manager allows you to configure specific prompts for items at the point of sale. These prompts can enhance customer interactions and streamline the ordering process.
To create PLU Prompt Groups, please log onto EPOS Manager and follow the steps below:
Click POS Control and select POS Control.
Choose PLU Prompt Groups.
Click New and type a description.
In the Prompt field, enter the question that will be asked by the till when they click PLU, such as "What size?".
Select the Prompts tab and click Add.
In the Button text field, type the text required.
To select what the prompt option button will do once pressed, set the Button Type.
To define the action taken when the prompt option button is clicked, enter the Offset number. For example, if the button type is set to change a modifier, the offset will determine which modifier is selected.
Keep clicking Add until you create all the options you want for this prompt group.
Once this has been done for all the buttons, ensure there is a Cancel button added so the user can go back. Set the Button Type for this to Close dialog, and leave the Offset blank.
If required, on the Flags tab, set how the prompt behaves with modified PLUs and Loyalty cards.
If needed, on the Time Restriction tab, set the prompt to only appear during a certain time period.
Click Save.
To add your PLU prompt group to a PLU, please follow the steps below:
Click POS Control and select PLU.
Select your PLU.
Using the Prompt Group dropdown, select your prompt group.
Click Save.
