You can set up a cash drawer in EPOS Manager to ensure it connects correctly to your terminal and functions as expected.
Follow the steps below to complete the setup and verify compatibility with your device:
Log onto the terminal.
Select Program Mode.
Click External Devices.
Select Cash Drawer 1.
Use the drop-down menu to select how the drawer is connected to the till.
Cash drawers are typically connected as CD Port Driver 1 or Receipt Printer when linked to the printer.
Click Test to confirm the connection.
Click Save.
📌 Note: Check that the till model is correct under Terminal Configuration:
If you are using an A8 terminal, set the connection to RS232 and COM 4.
Ensure that no other external devices are using COM 4.
