This release includes several new features and a number of fixes to improve reliability and performance across the Access StockLink and EPOS Manager applications.

What's new?

  • Push notifications for EPOS alerts β€” EPOS alerts (such as cash transfers and stock movements) now send real-time push notifications through the Evo Feeds notification system. You can configure notifications per user, so the right people are informed instantly without needing to check the EPOS Manager dashboard. The alert feed user dropdown also now includes a search box for easier user selection.

  • In-app feature feedback β€” You can now share feedback directly within key pages in EPOS Manager, starting with PLU Management. A feedback prompt allows you to rate features and have your say on product improvements.

  • Rezlynx bill number posting method β€” Hotels using Rezlynx PMS can now post room charges using a new 'PoS Desc | BillNo' header format option, making it easier to reconcile guest charges by bill number.

  • GuestPay transaction cancellation β€” A new poll timeout field has been added to the GuestPay interface, allowing transactions to be cancelled with a configurable timeout for a smoother payment experience.

  • Simplified credit card pre-authorisation β€” The credit card capture flow has been simplified by removing the legacy 'Use EFT' flag and locally stored pre-authorisation fields, making the process cleaner and more secure.

  • Real-time clerk synchronisation β€” Changes to clerk records (creation, updates, and deletions) are now communicated across the system in real time via service bus events, enabling faster synchronisation across integrated services.

What we've fixed

We've resolved several issues within the Access EPOS Manager applications:

  • Daily Operations Report β€” processing screen β€” Fixed an issue where the Daily Operations Report would get stuck on the processing screen. Drill-down navigation, pop-up overlays, and report loading now all work correctly.

  • Daily Operations Report β€” overlay popup β€” Fixed an error in the report's shadow layer popup that prevented users from interacting with report overlays.

  • PLU list view β€” Fixed multiple issues with the PLU list view, including blank entries in the condiment dropdown, columns clearing unexpectedly when editing a price, modifier columns showing incorrect data types, and duplicate PLU rows appearing due to barcode join issues.

  • Breadcrumb navigation causing infinite loading β€” Fixed an issue where clicking breadcrumbs to navigate between pages would result in an infinite loading state. Navigation between all pages now works smoothly.

  • Purchase Order minimum quantity β€” Fixed an issue where the minimum Purchase Order quantity rule only applied after saving and reopening a PO. The rule now applies correctly when adding new rows the first time. Quantity distribution for duplicate product lines has also been corrected.

  • Purchase Order outstanding items β€” Fixed an issue where outstanding items on a Purchase Order were not displaying correctly.

  • PLU breakdown size in data reports β€” Fixed a cache issue that was causing incorrect breakdown size values to appear in data reports. PLU breakdown sizes now calculate accurately.

  • EPOS Manager dashboard load speed β€” Fixed slow dashboard loading. Dashboards now load significantly faster, with a visual loading skeleton displayed while widgets load in parallel rather than a blank screen.

  • EPOS Manager performance under load β€” Improved system resilience by adding retry logic for transient database connection failures, and removing unused logging overhead. EPOS Manager now performs more reliably under load.

  • Menu requests reliability β€” Fixed an issue where the Menu Manager API token was not being cached, which could cause rate limiting and slower menu request responses. Menu requests are now faster and more reliable.

  • POS terminal stability β€” Fixed an issue where the POS service could create duplicate instances on startup, causing intermittent connectivity issues. POS terminals now maintain stable connections.

  • Cancelled web orders in sales reporting β€” Fixed an issue where cancelled web orders were not included in event feeds and sales reporting. Cancelled orders now appear correctly, with accurate pricing data.

  • POS heartbeat connection β€” Fixed a connection failure that affected POS terminal heartbeat when running on the latest backend version. POS terminals now maintain reliable heartbeat connections.

  • Screen reader accessibility β€” Improved accessibility throughout the application by correctly marking decorative icons as hidden from screen readers, in line with WCAG 1.1.1 guidelines. Header navigation accessibility has also been improved.

⚠️ Important: This release transitions Access EPOS Manager to Semantic Versioning. The previous version was 100.000727. The new version format is 1.728.0. If you reference version numbers in any internal documentation or integrations, please update accordingly.
