To streamline order entry for fast-paced environments, you can create a Quick Service Keyboard in EPOS Manager. This layout allows for rapid access to frequently used items and functions. This setup helps optimise your POS interface for speed and ease of use in quick service environments.
Follow the steps below to set up and customise your keyboard:
Create a quick service keyboard
To create a quick service keyboard, follow the steps below:
Log in to EPOS Manager.
Click POS Control and select Keyboards.
Choose QuickService Keyboard.
Click New to create a keyboard or press Find to open an existing one.
General Tab
Under the General Tab, configure the following options:
Description is the name of the keyboard.
Theme defines the button style. Flat Rounded is a popular choice.
Next Keyboard allows automatic switching to another keyboard when an item is pressed.
Image sets a background image, and Image Scale determines how it is displayed (stretched or scaled to fit).
Price Level lets you assign a specific pricing tier to the keyboard.
Keyboard item types
In the Items Tab, select the types of items to add.
For quick service setups, use PLUs and Quick Service Keyboards.
Add items
To add items or change button size, follow these steps:
Select an item type from the list.
Drag and drop it to the desired position on the keyboard.
Change the button size
To enlarge a button, click it and drag down and right to extend the selection.
Click Make Big to increase its size.
๐ค Tip: Right-click a button to copy font, button style, or an entire page. You can also click Edit Key to adjust font, text size, button style, text colour, and more. You can also set a modifier to bypass prompts.
Set clerk security levels
To set clerk security levels, follow the steps below:
Click Security Enabled and choose which levels can access the button.
This is useful for manager-only functions.
Click Save.
Clear a key
To clear a key, select the button and click Reset Key in the bottom left to return it to a blank state.
Set the font and colours
To apply consistent font and colour settings, modify one buttonโs appearance and paste the settings to others for a uniform look.

Click Add Page in the bottom left to create extra pages.
Use Prev Page and Next Page buttons to navigate between pages.
On the second page, add a Prev Page button. On the first page, add a Next Page button using the corresponding key type.
