To create a main menu keyboard in StockLink, please log in and follow the steps below:
Click POS Control and select POS Control.
Click Keyboards and select Main Keyboard.
Adding the keyboard
To add a keyboard, follow the steps below:
Click New.
Drag and drop your PLUs from the drop-down menu onto the buttons.
Click Save.
General tab
Under the general tab, you can give your keyboard a description and set the theme for the buttons.
Keyboard item types
Under the items tab, you have a list of item types that can be added to the keyboard. Main Menu Options is where most items are located; however, you can also add page keys, which allows you to create multiple pages for the keyboard using the Add Page button at the bottom, or clerk keys.
Adding items and sizing the button
To increase the size of a button, click on it and drag down/right to extend your selection. Press Make Big to enlarge the button. To add a button to the keyboard, start by selecting an item type. Once the list has loaded, choose an item and click, drag, and drop it to your desired location. Right-clicking a button gives you the ability to copy the font, button, or the entire page. You can also press the Edit Key to make changes to the key, including font, text size, button, text colour, and more.
Clearing a key
To reset a key to its default, blank state, press Reset Key in the bottom left corner while the button to reset is selected.
Setting the font and colours
In most cases, you will want a consistent colour scheme for your buttons.
Start by changing the font and colour settings of one button.
Once youβve set up one button, right-click and press Copy Font and Colours.
Highlight the buttons you want to apply the colour and fonts to by clicking and dragging.
Press Paste Font and Colours in the bottom left.
π Note: Once you are satisfied with the general layout, you can continue by dragging and dropping the required PLUs to your preferred locations.
