Create a new function

Add custom functions for terminal operations.

Functions on the till allow the user to edit certain features that are available in EPOS Manager..

Functions are essential components that enable various operations within your point-of-sale system, and each function type offers specific capabilities that can be customised using flags to suit your business requirements.

To add a new function, please log in to EPOS Manager and follow the steps below:

  1. Select POS Control.

  2. And then POS Control.

  3. Click Functions.

  4. Choose the location you want to add the function to.

  5. Click New.

  6. Type in your description.

  7. Click on ... under Function Type.

    Note: Function types show the list of functions that can be created. These are hard-coded into the system. Most function types also have flags that let users change various aspects of the function. As such, users may find they use one function type multiple times across the system.

  8. Select your required function type.

  9. Tick the relevant flags.

  10. Click Save.

⚠️ Important: Remember to send all changes over to the terminals using Pos Updates.

πŸ“Œ Note: If your site is centralised and all the changes are done via the head office location, you will need to bulk update the changes you have made from the head office to the required location.
