March 2026

Updated over a month ago

This release introduces SMS notification capability to Access KVLink, allowing kitchen staff to notify customers automatically or manually when their orders are ready for collection.

What's new?

  • SMS order-ready notifications - Kitchen staff can now notify customers via SMS when their food order is ready for collection. Notifications can be sent automatically when an order reaches a configured status, or manually using a new Send SMS function button on the KV screen. If a mobile number is missing from the order, staff are prompted to enter one before sending. The ticket header displays a colour-coded status indicator showing whether the SMS was sent successfully, helping kitchen and pass staff confirm at a glance that customers have been notified.

  • Automatic SMS on status change - A new 'SMS on Status' option in the KV Profile configuration allows you to define which order status triggers an automatic SMS to the customer. You can also configure the message text (up to 160 characters) to be sent at that point.

  • SMS provider configuration - A new SMS Service interface option is available in the KV interfaces configuration screen. Multiple SMS providers are supported, giving you flexibility in how notifications are delivered.

πŸ“Œ Note: To use SMS notifications, you will need to be subscribed to WebEx, and then configure the Send SMS function and SMS Service interface within Access StockLink (EPoS Manager) as well as within Access KVLink. Please contact your account manager or our support team for assistance with setup.
