A PLU price change refers to updating the price linked to a specific item code in your POS system. Each dish, drink, or service has a unique PLU, and modifying its price ensures that staff charge correctly and reports reflect real-time revenue.


When to perform a PLU price change

Complete a PLU price change

  • Identify the PLU code.

    • Locate the product in your system using its PLU code or description.

  • Access the Price Management module

    • Navigate to the pricing section in EPOS Manager and PosLink.

  • Update the price.

    • Enter the new price, ensuring it reflects the correct tax and discount structure.

  • Save and confirm.

    • Save the changes and confirm that the update has been applied across all relevant terminals.

  • Test the update.

    • Run a test transaction to verify the new price is active and accurate.

  • Communicate the change.

    • Notify staff of the update to avoid confusion at checkout.
