Turn off the bill number prompt during transactions

Disable compulsory bill number requirements in clerk security

If you want to stop the prompt for a 'Bill Number' from appearing on your tills in EPOS Manager, you can update the clerk security settings for the relevant role.

⚠️ Important: This change should be made in EPOS Manager, not directly on the tills.

Follow the steps below to apply the update:

  1. Log in to EPOS Manager.

  2. Go to System Maintenance and select Locations.

  3. Choose the relevant location.

  4. Open the Clerk Security tab.

  5. Select Features 1 for the relevant role.

  6. Locate the following flags and ensure they are unticked:

    • Compulsory Bill Numbers On Clerks

    • Compulsory Bill Numbers On Tables

    • Compulsory Bill Numbers On Tabs

  7. Save your changes and send them to the tills.

This will prevent the bill number prompt from appearing during transactions.
