To enable a button on the till that displays product or PLU details, setup is required in EPOS Manager.
Follow the steps below to configure the function safely and correctly:
Configure the function
Go to POS Control.
Click POS Commands, then click New.
Add a description. From the Job Type dropdown, select Get POSLink Programs.
Select the Location/Till to extract from. You can choose multiple terminals.
Tick PLUs and Function Bar on the left-hand side.
Click Save.
Wait for the process to finish. Check the status in POS Command Status under POS Control.
Set up the PLU info button
Go to POS Control and click Keyboards.
Choose the Location if required. Open the Mainbar function bar.
Double-click an unassigned key. Add key text.
From the Type dropdown, select Functions.
Scroll down and click the PLU Info function (highlighted in blue).
Click Save.
Click Save Keyboard or Save and Send to Tills Now.
PLU notes and images
Go to POS Control, then POSLink Images.
Click PLU Images, then upload a new image.
Go to POS Control, then PLU.
Choose the Location if required.
Select the required PLU, then go to the Notes tab.
Add a note and image if needed. Use the dropdown to select an image (if available).
Click Save.
⚠️ Important: Configure the function and PLU notes and images may need to be repeated for each location, depending on your company setup.
To complete the process, send the update to the tills:
Go to POS Control.
Click POS Updates and select the update to send.
Click OK.
📌 Note: The function is now ready to use. Staff can tap the configured button on the till to view product details.
