⚠️ Important: The Gift Card Report in Epos Manager is not suitable for reconciling gift card payments against actual sales recorded as gift card transactions in other reports.
Key reasons
Report Logic: A gift card is marked as used in this report if:
It has been used for a purchase.
It has received a top-up to increase its balance.
Misleading Entries: Even if a transaction is a top-up, the report will still show a last used value. This can be misleading, especially if the spend occurred outside the selected reporting period.
Limited Detail: If a gift card has multiple transactions, the report will only display a single entry, not the full history.
Recommended Alternative
To view the complete transactional history of a gift card, use the Gift Card Statement feature in Epos Manager. This report provides a detailed breakdown of all movements on the card, including top-ups and spending.
