This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the steps required to create a preset media in EPOS Manager. Following these instructions will enable you to establish cash media, link it to a function, and add it to your payments keyboard for efficient transaction processing.
There are a few steps that need to be completed to create a preset media.
Media
First, you will need to create a cash media if you do not already have one. To create a new media or method of payment, please log onto StockLink and follow the steps below:
Click POS Control and select POS Control.
Click Medias and select your location.
Click New.
Type in the description and generate the relevant flags and settings.
Click Save.
Link media to function
Now you need to create a new function and link it to the media. To do this, please follow the steps below:
Click POS Control and select POS Control.
Select Function and click Add New.
Enter a description.
In Function type, click the ... button.
Select function 76 Preset Tender.
In Preset Media, select the media you created.
Set CID Total to Media's CID.
Enter the value in Preset Amount.
Tick flags as required.
Click Save.
Add function to keyboard
Now that you have created your function and linked it to the media, you will need to add this as a button on your payments keyboard. To do this, please follow the steps below:
Click POS Control and select Keyboards.
Click Payments Keyboard.
From the Unassigned dropdown, select Functions.
Drag and drop the function onto a blank box on the keyboard.
Click Save.
