What's new?
ABCS Platform integration - We can now connect Access POSLink to the ABCS Platform (Account Based Charging System), our in-house middleware service that routes charges between Access POSLink and any connected account-holding system. Building the ABCS Platform ourselves enables us to deliver these types of system-to-system interfaces more quickly and efficiently, with a single integration hub rather than separate point-to-point connections for each new system. From the terminal, you can post transactions as charges to a guest or customer account, search accounts and view balances with full transaction history, settle accounts, and post non-room sales such as end-of-day cash totals. More information on the newly connected systems will follow soon.
Mobile support access via QR code - You can now access Intercom support directly from your mobile device without tying up your Access POSLink terminal. Tap the Get Help! button in Access POSLink, enter your contact details, and scan the generated QR code with your phone to launch Intercom support with your company, location, and terminal context already loaded. This gives front-of-house staff instant access to the Fin AI support bot and human agents during busy service periods, without leaving the operational floor. For full guidance on setting up and using this feature, see [further information to follow].
What we've fixed
We've resolved several issues within the Access POSLink application:
Stock-tracked items disabled after end of day - Fixed an issue where Price Look-Up (PLU) items using the advanced stock quantity system were incorrectly disabled on the keyboard after the end-of-day process, even when stock remained available. Stock-tracked items now remain correctly enabled after end of day, removing the need to manually re-enable them.
GuestPay cancel button - Fixed an issue where the Cancel button during a GuestPay Pay at Table transaction would not return the user to the payment screen, leaving the terminal unresponsive and sometimes requiring a restart. You can now reliably cancel a GuestPay payment and retry.
Verifone Pay at Table split bill description - Fixed an issue where splitting a table bill across multiple Verifone payment terminals did not show the correct bill position on each terminal. Split bills now display the position correctly (for example, "Table 5/ 2"), making it clearer for staff and guests which portion is being paid.
Support link - Fixed an issue where the in-application Intercom support link did not open the correct destination.
