What we've fixed
We've resolved several issues within the Access POSLink application:
VAT sales totals on partial-discount adjustments - Fixed an issue where the residual chargeable amount on a partially discounted item (for example, an adjustment that discounts a Β£16 starter down to Β£1) was not being included in VAT sales totals on the PostZRead report. Sales totals now reconcile correctly with takings, ensuring clean financial postings to your property management system.
In-app Help QR code - Fixed an issue where the QR code in the in-app Help screen did not display, preventing staff from scanning through to support. The QR code now generates correctly.
GuestPay - Pay at Table card receipts - Fixed an issue where merchant and cardholder receipt copies were not printing after a Pay at Table card payment, leaving only the transaction receipt. Both card receipt copies now print as expected.
GuestPay - Pay at Table gratuity on printed receipts - Fixed an issue where receipts for tipped Pay at Table transactions showed a confusing combination of totals, card payment amount and a change-given line. Printed totals, card payment amounts and any change line now reconcile to the actual amount taken.
GuestPay - Pay at Table PED gratuity calculation and display - Fixed two related issues where gratuity added on the card machine was not shown in the on-screen payment subtotal the customer approves, and where selecting 15% gratuity was being charged as 5%. Gratuity is now displayed in the approval subtotal and the correct percentage is charged.
GuestPay - Pay at Table partial-payment gratuity - Fixed an issue where a percentage gratuity added to a partial Pay at Table payment was calculated against the full table total instead of the partial amount being paid. The gratuity now matches the partial payment.
GuestPay - Pay at Table card machine connectivity recovery - Fixed an issue where, if the till lost connection to the card machine at the moment a payment was approved, the approval was not reflected back on the till and the table was not closed out, risking a duplicate charge if staff retried. Payment approvals are now reliably propagated back to the till once connectivity is restored.
GuestPay - Pay at Table table locking between card machines - Fixed an issue where two card machines could end up operating on the same table simultaneously after a second attempt to access a locked table. Table locks are now tracked correctly so only the card machine holding the lock can release it.
GuestPay - Pay at Table clerk PIN cancel button - Fixed an issue where pressing the x button on the Pay at Table clerk PIN screen refreshed the page rather than exiting Pay at Table mode, forcing staff to wait for a timeout. The button now exits Pay at Table mode immediately.
Payment cancel button on integrated card payments - Fixed an issue with selected payment integrations where, if communication with the card machine failed, the Cancel button did not abort the payment flow. The Cancel button now reliably aborts the in-flight payment so staff can retry without rebooting the till.
β οΈ Important: This release removes the ability to run ad-hoc SQL commands against your till database through EPoS Manager's Execute SQL Command option. This action was unreliable and posed a data-integrity risk, so the handler has been disabled. If you previously used this to perform operations such as clearing PLU (Price Look-Up) stock countdowns, please use the supported product features in EPoS Manager and Access POSLink instead. Contact support if you need help finding the right workflow for your use case.
