Access POSLink v1.0.4.136 release notes

August 2026

Written by Jon Lee

What's new?

  • Refund Transaction search improvements - Till operators at high-volume sites can now find and refund closed transactions without needing to manually type a 20-character receipt reference. The Refund Transaction screen now includes filtering by date, time, terminal, and clerk — consistent with the Receipt History screen — making it much faster to locate transactions during busy service periods.

  • Semnox loyalty card integration - Access POSLink now supports NFC card scanning and validation for Semnox customer loyalty cards. Customers can redeem credit and apply discounts directly at the till by tapping their Semnox card. Configuration options for the Semnox interface — including URL, credentials, media type, and loyalty system — are available within the application settings.

  • RezLynz Z read reliability improvements - When sending Z reads to RezLynz, Access POSLink now includes a unique transaction ID with each call to prevent duplicate postings on timeout. If an HTTP timeout occurs, the Z read posting will automatically retry, ensuring your end-of-day data reaches RezLynz reliably.

What we've fixed

We've resolved the following issues within the Access POSLink application:

  • StockLink connectivity restored (.NET Core 8) - Fixed an issue where Access POSLink running on .NET Core 8 was unable to communicate with StockLink services. The Web Services Check was failing for PosLinkService.asmx, and attempts to send programme data to StockLink were returning a server-side error. Both the Web Services Check and data transfer to StockLink now complete successfully.

  • Diagnostic log file security - Fixed an issue identified during a penetration test where POSLink's diagnostic logging was writing keystroke data to a readable file on the till's local C: drive. The logging behaviour has been updated to ensure sensitive input data is no longer stored in an accessible format on the device.

⚠️ Important: This release includes a security fix related to diagnostic logging on the till. We recommend updating to this version as soon as possible, particularly if your organisation conducts regular security or compliance reviews.
