When a till is running in tablet mode, it may occasionally display a blank rectangle where the virtual keyboard should appear.

This issue can make part of the screen unusable and disrupt normal operations.

To resolve this issue, turn off Tablet Mode using one of the following methods:

Using Action Center

  1. Select the Action Center icon on the taskbar next to the date and time, or press Win + A.

  2. Click Tablet Mode to toggle it off.

Using System Settings

  1. Right-click the Windows Start button and select Settings.

  2. Navigate to System and select Tablet.

  3. Under When I sign in, select Never from the dropdown.

  4. Under When this device automatically switches tablet mode on or off, choose Don’t ask me and don’t switch.
