What we've fixed
We've resolved several issues within the Access POSLink application:
Gift card balance check restricted to swipe only - Fixed an issue where the gift card balance function only allowed cards to be swiped, even when the "Swipe Only on Gift Card Redemption" setting was turned off. Operators can now type a card number manually when checking a gift card balance, as expected.
ResDiary cover count not updating after changes - Fixed an issue where editing the number of covers on a table in Access POSLink did not update the booking in ResDiary. Only the cover count set at the point of initial seating was ever sent through. Cover count changes made at the till are now correctly synchronised with ResDiary.
Service charge could not be removed from a table bill - Fixed an issue where pressing the No Service Charge button in the payments screen removed the service charge, but it was immediately re-applied when the screen recalculated. The service charge is now permanently removed for the transaction when the button is pressed.
Collins (DesignMyNight) reservations using the wrong venue - Fixed an issue where Access POSLink was sending the wrong venue ID to Collins when making or updating reservations. This caused bookings, availability checks, and status updates to be applied against an incorrect venue. The correct venue ID configured on the reservation interface is now used for all Collins calls.
Numeric keypad showing incorrect layout after screen refresh - Fixed an issue where the numeric keypad displayed the sales-mode layout (including a double-zero key) after the screen was refreshed, even when the terminal was in menu mode. The keypad now correctly reflects the current terminal mode after any refresh.
Automatic software updater installing incorrect .NET runtimes - Fixed an issue where the Access POSLink automatic updater (ProgUpdate) was installing an outdated .NET runtime version and was not installing the ASP.NET Core runtime at all. This could leave tills without the runtimes required to run Access POSLink. The updater now installs the correct versions of both the Windows Desktop and ASP.NET Core runtimes.
How to access this update
This update is available from 15th September 2026. To implement the changes, you need to manually update your software.
