By analysing these reports, you can identify staff members who process an unusually high volume of error corrections, voided transactions, or refunds. These patterns could indicate a training need or even potential fraudulent activity.

Running a Clerk Function report

To identify staff processing large volumes of specific functions, such as corrections, voids, or refunds, follow these steps to run a Clerk Function report:

  1. Log in to EPOS Manager.

  2. Navigate to Reports and click on Sales Reports.

  3. Click on the POS Reports option.

  4. Select the location for which you want to run the report.

  5. Choose a from date and a to date for the reporting period.

  6. From the Report Type dropdown menu, select Clerk Function Counts.

  7. Ensure you tick the checkboxes for Show Quantity and Show Value.

  8. Click the OK button to generate the report.

πŸ€“ Tip: You can either screenshot the report results or export them to Excel by clicking the Excel icon at the bottom left of the screen.

Viewing specific data in Real-Time Journal

For a more detailed analysis of the transactions, you can view the Real-Time Journal. This allows you to drill down into specific data, searching for key terms such as "correct," "void," or "refund."

Follow these steps to view specific data:

  1. Log in to EPOS Manager.

  2. Navigate to Reports and click on Sales Reports.

  3. Click on the Real Time Journal option.

  4. Select the date you wish to view.

  5. Choose the desired location from the dropdown menu.

  6. Click OK to load the journal.

  7. Press the Pause button at the bottom of the screen to stop automatic refreshing.

  8. To search for specific keywords (e.g., "correct," "void," or "refund"), press CTRL + F (Windows) or COMMAND + F (IOS) and enter the term you're looking for.

πŸ“Œ Note: By following these steps, you can monitor and investigate any potential fraud indicators in your EPOS system.
