Ordering Capacity in Menu Manager helps manage kitchen workload by adjusting preparation time estimates shown to customers on Deliveroo. This setting influences how Deliveroo displays wait times based on your current operational pace.

Follow the details below to understand how it works:

  • The Ordering Capacity has three possible values:

    • Not too busy.

    • Normal.

    • Busier than usual.

  • This setting currently affects only Deliveroo orders.

  • Deliveroo uses a workload mode that can be either BUSY or QUIET.

  • Based on the workload mode, Deliveroo displays estimated preparation times to customers.

  • In Menu Manager, you can configure these times:

    • QuietModePreparationTime, default value 5 minutes.

    • BusyModePreparationTime, default value 25 minutes.

  • These values can be customised for each organisation.

  • Menu Manager sends QUIET mode to Deliveroo when the capacity is:

    • Not too busy.

    • Normal.

  • Menu Manager sends BUSY mode to Deliveroo when the capacity is:

    • Busier than usual.
